SAMANTHA NICHOLLS

I did chemistry, biology and further maths last year. It left me with enough space to do another four subjects this year.

It's a good idea if you can organise it.

I practise tae kwon do and went to Korea two years ago for the world championships. I was the youngest member of the team and won a silver medal.

There is another world championship in six months and I am in training. It would be great to go to the world championships in England in two years. My dream would be to go to the Beijing Olympics.

How do I balance studies and training? I put the same amount of time into my studies as I do my training. I mix them up - study, run, study, train, etc.

My career goal is to be a social worker. I moved to Patterson River six months ago from Melton.

Three people I know have committed suicide in recent years. This has forced me to think about what I want to do with my life. I have decided I want to be a social worker, to prevent people from getting to that stage where they think that suicide is the answer.

My parents are very supportive.

They drive me for hours to training sessions and pay for so much. They are awesome - I'm a lucky person.
